Freilicht Museum

The Freilicht Museum about 20 minutes outside of Kiel is a place like colonial Williamsburg, where they try to recreate a historical Schleswig-Holstein. Most of the houses have been taken apart at their original location and reconstructed brick by brick on the museum's plot of land.

A frightening array of whaler's weapons and spearwife scowls...

...and a few olde windmills. This one would have rotated on its platform to catch
the wind from whichever direction it came.
