The day after we arrived, we took the ferry to Kiel downtown and shopped. This is Sophienhof. German malls look pretty much the same as American malls, but I do appreciate the natural light.
This mall is close to the super ferry docks - Kiel has become a major shopping opportunity for all the Scandinavians arriving on the daily ferries from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and more recently from Estonia, Latvia and the russian port of St. Petersburg.
