Dinner on the Harbor

After the excitement of arrival, we all walked down to Heikendorf harbor to eat our evening meal on one of the floating restaurants.

I got to eat Matjesfilet, which as you can see, is pickled herring in a cream sauce with apples and onions, side salad and bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes, but not deep-fried in the french manner). I didn't know it was pickled herring at the time, or I would probably not have ordered it. Good thing! Lecker, lecker, lecker!
